After a huge mistake Edith Gallagher made her living working the kitchen of a brothel. To many “the kitchen” part is overlooked. A fact that she is painfully aware pretty much ensures she will never marry. A fact she has come to terms with after all she does have a position as a paid companion to the sister of the lady who saved her from certain death. Her only problem – the Scottish oaf land steward of her employer. Whenever she is around him she cannot help but lose her temper & they are constantly in a shouting match.Aldmist Fell’s land steward, Fergus McTaggart loves his job & puts all his effort into it. His only 2 problems – his mother’s harping that he needs to find a wife & the English lass who is the paid companion of his employer’s sister-in-law. He’s not sure what it is about that woman but he never loses his temper unless she’s around.
A kiss under the mistletoe starts fireworks of a different kind – fireworks that neither want to acknowledge.
Buckle up & enjoy the ride as Samantha Grace continually lights the fireworks between these 2 & watch how it plays out. An outstanding read that you won’t regret!
This is the first Samantha Grace story that I have read & will definitely be reading more in the future.

Kissed by a Scottish Rogue Rival Rogues 25 edition by Samantha Grace Romance eBooks Reviews
An enjoyable read.
Very nice story I enjoyed reading this book and I will recommend it I told my friends about this book they can't wait to read it
I love this book because the dialogue is great. The characters have that spark and attraction that shows in the writing. The best part is they like most people doubt the other person feels the same. Lots of love and Christmas too. .
Kissed by a Scottish Rogue seems like an inapplicable title for this novella. I have to start this review by saying, though, that I have never read this author, and I have therefore not read the first entries in this series. Perhaps context would have made this novella more interesting or exciting. To me, though, this was a very routine story without much to give it any intrigue or drama. I like the idea of having untitled secondary characters experience some romance in their lives, but this story was too ordinary and mundane.
I loved this novella about Fergus, the steward and friend of Helen from In Bed With a Rogue, and Edith, the friend of Helen's sister and caretaker of Helen's younger sister. Fergus is big and opinionated, with a big heart and fun-loving attitude. He brings Edith joy, and she has what he needs to complete him. This was a short, but very romantic story. There was also a side story of Helen's sister with a satisfactory resolution. This story had carried over from In Bed With a Rogue.
Taking place a few months after the ending of In Bed with a Rogue, Kissed by a Scottish Rogue follows Helen's servant and friend, Fergus, as he finds love with her youngest sister's companion, Edith. Gracie and Edith have been staying at the castle for a few months, and it has not been easy since Edith and Fergus are constantly bumping heads! But now it's Christmas and the two decide to call a truce in order to keep the holidays pleasant. With the help of some mistletoe and a mother desperate for grandchildren, the two wind up finding the love they never thought they'd have.
Kissed by Scottish Rogue was really cute. I'm always a fan of romances where the two love interests go from bickering to kissing! Edith and Fergus just do not agree on the proper way to care for young Gracie. Fergus is much more carefree, while Edith's priority is keeping the girl safe. Of course, this means that Edith has to learn to let loose and let her hair down (literally). I do wish that Gracie's list of Christmas activities had played a larger role in the story. I thought that it was, since it was her idea to collect mistletoe and go ice skating, two activities that helped bring the lovers together. If only it had been a full length story instead of a novella.
I do think Kissed by a Scottish Rogue is a worth a read if you're a fan of the series. We get to catch up with Helena and Sebastian, and there's also some focus on Lavinia and Lord St. Ambrose! I do think the latter had enough drama to fill out their own novella!
Sadly I did not enjoy the latest release in Grace's Rival Rogue series. The read itself wasn't terrible nor it was it great. The problem is simply that I could not connect with the characters nor the story.
I admire the author and in fact she is one of my favorites but there has only been one book in this series that I have actually favored. Both the characters and the romance lack the connection that I look for in romance novels. However I did like Edith and Fergus. They were actually a great couple once I learned more about the twosome in my reads. I would have liked this story much more had it not been so short. I would have liked to seen a full length novel because the plot had the makings of a great book.
As for the positives I love the way the way that Grace pens a novel and there is no other author that can compare to her. Despite the fact that this series has not thrilled me I'm still planning on reading the future releases of this series as well as with all other releases that Grace writes because she will always be a favorite of mine and she has proved herself worthy of entertainment.
