I feel it's one of the better Transpersonal Psychology texts I have read on the subject matter of spiritual awakening/emergence. There is no doubt that the contents will serve as a valuable resource for individuals who find themselves going through spiritual growth/transformation and are looking for clarity as to the nature of their experiences and the unusual symptoms and sensations that accompany this process. Other texts on this subject matter that I would recommend exploring for individuals seeking information would be 'The Call Of Spiritual Emergency' (Emma Bragdon) and 'The Stormy Search For The Self' (Stanislav & Christina Grof). I just wanted to say thank you to Ms. Kason for her work and her efforts to spread awareness about such a vitally important aspect of the human experience.

The book is terrific, but this item was supposed to be combined with another for lower shipping costs. That didn't happen.
I am somewhat disappointed in this book. I had higher hopes for it. It is written by a Canadian doctor who has had a kundalini experience.

While the book does cover kundalini, it also covers near death experiences and other such phenomena. Much of it reads as if it was researched from third parties, and little is from personal experience.

I am not a fan of researched works on subjects as subtle as this, so I have given it only three stars. It's worth a read if you have spare time on your hands. You will get something out of it, like, just not a great deal.
A great read when on your spiritual path
I very much recommend this book as a must read if you have an interest in Near Death Experience, Kundalini or Spritual Emergence experiences.

Fantastic book! One of the most helpful I've read in understanding kundalini awakening. Dr. Kason has a lot of experience and knowledge I haven't come across in other kundalini awakening books. And there's much more that she writes about... like her near death experience, and the super brave guys who saved her and two others!
